Google is now offering one terabyte of storage FREE of charge for two years to anyone who purchases a new Chromebook laptop computer and redeems the offer by January 31, 2015.
Get your calculators out and do the math: one terabyte of storage on Google Drive normally costs $9.99 per month. Multiply that by 24 months for a total of $239.76. Let’s round that up to $240 for simplicity’s sake.
You can purchase a Chomebook from any number of vendors for $199 and up. If you were already planning on purchasing a large amount of data storage, you can purchase a Chromebook instead and save about $40. Another way of looking at it is that you purchase storage space on Google Drive at a discount and also get a free (well, sort of free) Chromebook to do with as you please. Use it yourself or give it away as a Christmas gift. Just be sure to redeem the offer by January 31, 2015.
