Despite Privacy Policy, RadioShack Customers’ Private Data is up For Sale in Auction

Have you ever purchased anything from RadioShack? If so, your private information is for sale to the highest bidder.

Privacy policies apparently are not worth the paper they are printed on. Or not printed on, in the case of web sites. RadioShack is trying to auction off its customer data on some 117 million customers as part of its court-supervised bankruptcy. The data includes names, phone numbers, mailing and e-mail addresses, and purchases. A legal challenge has begun.
