The really shocking news is that some people are still writing paper checks in the 21st century.

      By not writing any more paper checks.

      I stopped writing paper checks years ago. I pay all my bills online, either with a credit card (which is protected against fraudulent transactions) or with my bank’s “pay bills online” service which is cheaper and safer than writing checks and mailing them.

  2. I pay my bills online too. But if the bank does not have a direct transfer arrangement with the payee… They mail them a check !
