  1. We should all remember this these days. “No one must be subjected to ARBITRARY interference with his privacy..”

    There seems to be an anti-encryption crusade going on in many countries demanding backdoors and passing bills that weaken everyone’s privacy.

    Encryption is either built to keep everyone secure, or to leave everybody vulnerable. A backdoor built for the good guys can in real life be exploited by anyone.

    An anecdote: It’s a very different thing to apply for a warrant to open one envelope than to insist that all mail is posted without one.
