ProtonMail Review: a Secure Email Service Provider from Switzerland

ProtonMail is an email service provider that offers great security features, including End-to-End encryption and Anonymous accounts. While creating an account, you do not need to enter any of your personal details. No names, no date of birth and no phone number.

With ProtonMail, all user data is protected by the Swiss Federal Data Protection Act (DPA) and the Swiss Federal Data Protection Ordinance (DPO) which offers some of the strongest privacy protection in the world for both individuals and corporations.

In addition, ProtonMail has excellent iPhone and Android apps for securely checking your email from mobile devices.

I have written about ProtonMail before (see http://bit.ly/2tAQPwn for a list of my past articles of ProtonMail.) However, if you would like a second opinion, take a look at the article in The Windows Club web site at: http://www.thewindowsclub.com/protonmail-secure-email-provider.

  1. I’m currently using Protonmail for junk mail. Didn’t they pay the ransom couple years ago?
