Privacy Blog 
In recent months the number of websites that will not open for me via VPN has exploded. Is this just me, my VPN (PIA), or something else? What one do besides boycotting those sites?

Some web sites (including my local bank as well as Netflix and other video streaming sites) deliberately block connections made with a VPN because of past problems with unwanted hackers from overseas locations trying to obtain access to those sites by using VPNs to disguise their true locations.
With my local bank, if I try to access with a VPN, I never get connected. If I turn the VPN off, I get connected immediately.
In my case, I am in the process of switching to a different bank, one that I can safely access from anywhere via a VPN whenever I am at home or whenever I am traveling.
